Credipple is a start-up that provides a platform to help creatives build their credibility. Credipple’s name comes from their belief that “credibility has a ripple effect”. We were commissioned to design the brand and user interface for the platform.
The icon was based on a representation of a wave encountering interference from it’s right side. The wave was used because of the platforms tagline, “credibility has a ripple effect”, ripples being visible waves. Interference was added for the practical reason of removing a semi-circular section in order to create a “c” for Credipple from the circle of waves. The logo type was set in a bold weight and in lowercase to make it feel accessible and modern.
The user interface was designed with neutrality in mind so that it does not detract from the work of Credipple’s users. We used a purple highlight colour to signal interactive elements like buttons and links. Purple was chosen for its brightness and unexpectedness.
